CRPF opens 300 Constable (GD) posts for ST candidates in Nagaland; applications via open rally in October, tests through November.

Applications, dates, and venues

The Central Reserve Police Force has invited native tribal men and women from all districts of Nagaland to apply for 300 Constable (General Duty) posts through an open rally across three centres—Mokokchung, Kohima, and Dimapur—between October 3 and 14, 2025, with daily application collection from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Physical tests will run from October 21 to November 6, 2025, starting 5:00 am (except GH and Sundays), and the written examination is scheduled for Saturday, November 22, 2025.

Who can apply, vacancies, and pay level

Only Scheduled Tribe candidates domiciled in Nagaland can apply, and both male and female candidates are eligible. The minimum educational qualification is Class 10 pass, along with the ability to speak and write a local language. Applicants must be Indian citizens and aged 18–28 years as on August 1, 2025, including 5 years’ relaxation applicable to ST candidates.

Pay and benefits

  • Pay Level-3: ₹21,700–69,100
  • Allowances: DA and ration money as admissible, free accommodation and medical facilities, annual leave pass
  • Pension: National Pension System (from 01.01.2004)
  • Liability: Service anywhere within or outside India

Selection process, tests, and documents

The selection will follow PST, PET, written exam (two papers), medical examination, and district-wise merit based on written scores. Tie-breakers will consider higher age first, then alphabetical order of first name.

  • Physical Standards (PST):
    • Height: Male 157 cm (ST NE states); Female 147.5 cm (ST NE states)
    • Chest (male): 77 cm unexpanded with 5 cm expansion
    • Weight: Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards
  • Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
    • Male: 5 km in 24 minutes
    • Female: 1.6 km in 8 minutes 30 seconds
  • Written Examination:
    • Paper-I: Objective, 100 questions, 100 marks, 2 hours; English and Hindi (Devanagari); includes General Awareness, GK, regional history/culture, elementary mathematics, analytical aptitude; minimum qualifying 20
    • Paper-II: Local language; 50 marks total—Part I descriptive (5 questions, 25 marks), Part II speaking test (25 marks); 1 hour 30 minutes; minimum qualifying 40
  • Medical requirements:
    • Vision without correction: 6/6 (better eye) up to 6/9 (worse eye)
    • Disqualifications: Colour blindness, knock knee, flat foot, varicose veins, squint
    • Mandatory tests: Chest X-ray (PA), haemoglobin, urine routine/microscopy

Documents to carry (originals + photocopies)

  • Class 10 certificate (education and date of birth)
  • ST certificate (prescribed format)
  • Domicile Certificate/PRC (Nagaland)
  • Valid ID: Aadhaar/PAN/Voter ID/Ration Card
  • Two recent passport-size photos (one pasted on application; one with name and signature on reverse)
  • Any additional qualification certificates

Important conditions

  • Application: Submit Appendix-A form at rally centre; forms available on-site; fill in block letters with blue/black pen
  • Fee: No application fee
  • Appeals: On-the-spot appeal permitted for PST measurements with Appellate Authority
  • Conduct: Electronic gadgets are banned at centres; PST/PET will be videographed
  • Post-selection: Character and antecedent verification mandatory; undertaking on colour blindness boarding-out as per SHAPE policy
