The Department of History at MGM College organised a vibrant Inter-Departmental Quiz Quest on 12 September 2025, drawing spirited participation and celebrating academic excellence across departments. Generously sponsored by Mahendra’s Institute, Dimapur, the event featured 14 students representing seven departments, with teams competing through multiple thought-provoking rounds.

The quiz provided a platform for intellectual engagement and healthy competition, with participants demonstrating quick thinking and broad knowledge across disciplines. The Department of History acknowledged the enthusiastic support of faculty, staff, and students, crediting their contributions for the event’s success.
Winners
- First position: Economics — L. Annastacia Dangshawa and Diya Sangma.
- Second position: Commerce — Tripti and Laksmi.
- Third position: Political Science — Angel Tamang and Rose Debbarma.
Prizes and recognition
Winners received certificates of appreciation, pens, and cash prizes of ₹1,500, ₹1,000, and ₹500 for first, second, and third positions respectively, underscoring the event’s commitment to rewarding excellence. All participants were also presented with certificates of participation and a pen as a token of appreciation.

Fourteen students from seven departments took part: History (Zhukhulu Khesoh, Tiahanla Phom), Economics (L. Annastacia Dangshawa, Diya Sangma), Political Science (Angel Tamang, Rose Debbarma), Education (Mughapu Swu, Sneha Begum), Sociology (Tiasunep Longkumer, Eyilobeni), English (Meribemo Yanthan, Imtisangla Ao), and Commerce (Tripti, Laksmi). The diverse cohort reflected inter-departmental collaboration and student engagement across semesters.
